The 1st Aldila World Powergolf Matchplay Championship has ended and it was a great journey, we hope you had a good time too! It started out thursday morning in windy condition, a good result was 300m+. CJ Hellström took an early lead in the Open and David Mobley in the Seniors. In the afternoon the wind increased to make it even harder and only a handful improved their results. Mobley´s 322m and Hellström´s 320 was by far the best of the day.

Friday started with a thunderstorm and heavy rain but turned out good after 40 mins of rain delay. There were alot of interesting matches from the start and there were no easy one´s out there. After the day there were 16 Open, 8 Seniors and 4 Ladies left for sundays competition. Longest on friday was Joe Miller who had the 3-4 longest of the day with 323m leading the way.

The Pro-am on saturday was very appreciated by all and will be talked about amongst our sponsors for a long time, thank you all for that. Sunday was payday and worldclass matches at every turn. Landon Gentry had to beat Mike Bauman, CJ Hellström, Kevin Shook and Joe Miller to take the title. Senior winner Lance Reader needed 3 sets in every match after losing every 1st set of the event. Good job! David Mobley had a great showing after finishing 3rd in Open and 2nd in Seniors. And of course Sandra Carlborg, still undefeated in competition! Good to have ladies competing again.

Thank you to all who made it to Orresta, thank you to all sponsors, foreing or domestic and a special thank you to Aldila and Brenda Prudham in particular. It was great to see you all! We are already planning for next year, watch out!
